A creative who loves strategic planning and the common good.
I have lived in 10+ cities; Nashville, Austin, D.C., Seattle, San Diego, Bar Harbor to name a few, and moved more times than I care to count. But, that has given me a truly special view of the dynamic cultures across the United States. Plus, it’s enabled me to be part of some pretty amazing teams.
My career has been an unorthodox one, I began in hospitality and found myself at the center of an international social justice movement in my early twenties - forever changing the trajectory of my life. I believe anything is possible with enough vision, grit, kindness, operational excellence, creativity and agility.
This has been proven through every team I’ve been privileged to be part of over the years.
My creative process has always held the audience’s final experience in mind. When I begin any project, I always ask “How do we want (them) to feel after it’s over? After they’ve left our event, engaged with the campaign, heard our story?” We start there, and then work backwards.
I believe in asking good questions, pushing outside our comfort zones, dreamy spaces to rest, beautiful hotels, impeccable hospitality and helping business be a catalyst for impact.
As an Enneagram 8 and INFJ, I walk into any space and listen first. I hear the dream and then roll up my sleeves and get to work. Over the past 12+ years, I have had the privilege of working for amazing organizations, leaders and creative visionaries, and most recently as the Chief Operating & Brand Officer for Generous.Life.
My life has also consisted of another important role, maybe the most important one, being the guardian and full time caregiver for my sister, Mary, with Down Syndrome and other special needs. She passed away December 30, 2022 after a year+ long battle of heart and respiratory failure.
She was a constant reminder of the power of joy, big and brave love and good dancing — and her memory will always direct my focus towards helping make the world a better place.
